Kenko Black Mist is a soft effect filter infused with fine black diffusing material. It suppresses highlight and shadow contrast, providing a soft image. Without requiring a retouch, It creates as cinematic atmosphere with Black Mist.

It is suitable for portrait and night photography, as well as for vlogging. In the Black Mist series, the larger the number (No.05, No.1, etc.), the stronger the softening effect. Please choose according to your preference. Black Mist No.05 N has less softening effect than No.1 N.

■What is "Black Mist"?
Black Mist is an optical glass soft filter infused with fine black diffusing particles. It suppresses contrast of highlight and shadow areas allowing to capture that cinematic effect photographers and videographers are seeking for.
Without requiring a retouch process you are able to create movie-like images with the Kenko Black Mist Series. The series logo is based on the "TRA-JAN" font that most used for movie title from around 1990 to the present.
